Didn’t have a traditional workout today, but it was unseasonably warm outside so I went on a hike. Ended up walking about 6 miles total. It was really nice to just be outdoors and have a peaceful day off before the classes start up again tomorrow. I can’t believe I’m going to be a second semester senior! I’m working on grad school applications so hopefully I won’t have to be a real adult for another year but I’ve just been in awe of my life lately and how far I’ve come in all of my pursuits, my fitness being one of them. I’m not where I want to be but I’m so proud of where I am right now compared to where I started, and I think that’s all we can ever really ask for.

I’ve still been on my Pilates grind even though I haven’t been posting as regularly. I had my 85th class there this morning and I have a personal goal of trying to hit 100 before the end of January! I also have been experimenting with veganism. I already don’t eat dairy and i don’t digest meat well. So far I’ve felt a lot better and have been way less bloated! Also, if anyone has any suggestions for some good stretches for hip mobility/flexibility, they would be much appreciated!! I’ve been having some pain and tightness in my right hip flexor and no amount of stretching seems to help so far

Pilates class this morning (it was my 50th one!!) and then a 1.55 mile run this afternoon to kick off week 3 of my training for a 10k. I don’t have a specific race that I want to compete in, I’m just trying to up my mileage because I’d like to one day so a half marathon. My shins and knees don’t usually handle running well but they’ve been okay so far so we’ll see how it goes.

Orangetheory again. Working out is pretty much all that I’ve been doing because I’m stuck at home alone waiting for my car to be fixed before I can go back to school. None of my friends from high school are in the area right now so I’ve been bored out of my mind and it’s honestly making me feel so shitty. I’m so desperate to get back to school and to be around my friends and have a purpose again.

Orangetheory again this morning. It was a 500m benchmark roe and I PR’d at 1:30. My hamstrings gave out for the last 30 seconds or it probably would’ve been a lower split time but they legitimately felt like dead weight, so I guess that’s what I get for not stretching more.
