Catching light snow on camera isn’t easy. Thankfully the 12 miles with Jason was easier. Fun conversations about our evolving world. He’s got a 50k next week and I have a marathon so this was a nice and “easy” 12 miles. Only a handful of hills that kept us around 9:30 pace. It was nice running in the light snow.

I didn’t trip and fall… Well I did trip, but stayed on my feet. Then I realized it was the shoe that has a tear and not fitting my foot as tight. Rip got worse after this run. I think they are done. 325 miles was apparently their limit. I have another identical pair ready to go. Debating trying to stitch these up and keep them as a back-up muddy pair to trash and beat some more miles in… We will see. But for now… Moving on to a new pair and excited for 18 miles of fun this weekend.

One thing I didn’t calculate with signing up for the Disney Marathon: the peak weeks are the holiday weeks.

I was on the fence about doing today’s run. Legs were tired from the weekend runs. Especially my shins and calves. So I SQUEEEEEEEEEZED into my compression socks and got it done. Run actually felt great. Nipples started chaffing with 2 miles left. Before they were rubbed raw and started bleeding, I took off my shirt for the final 2 miles… first time ever for that! (Out of bandaids and 6 miles is normally my limit before it all goes south)

Anyway… yea! Fun run and possibly one of the final runs with temps in the mid 80s for a long time.
