Weekday runs. Glad this week was a fallback/recovery week.

I got a deep tissue massage on knots in my hip and calf muscles on Monday. Legs were sore for Tuesday run. Did 4 miles with Summer then Evan woke up from his nap so took him for the final 2 miles. Easy pace.

Wednesday I did some intervals in the 5 miles. Decent run.

Today I tried flirting with Zone 5 and tried to stay in Zone 4. Had a medium sized lunch and that plays such a role in heart rate for afternoon runs. Felt great like a relaxed push.

Doing some trails this weekend and looking forward to it.

Four miles yesterday. They were initially going to be recovery miles, but half a mile in I decided to work on a quicker cadence. Then held it for the rest of the run.

Tonight I did four loops at Loopy Tuesday group run with the kids. I’m off work tomorrow and planning on a long-ish run.

Did some foam roller time tonight. I need to do that more often. My IT band on my left leg is tight. I think it’s stemming from my piriformis, which is triggering the tight IT band and thus causes some knee discomfort when I’m sitting for long periods, like in a car. Stretching seemed to help some tonight.
