Finished out September with a 6 mile run with the kids this weekend, then an 8 mile run alternating between different paces on Monday(first run in new shoes). That put me at 184 miles for the month! I know other have logged way more, but that’s a monthly PR for me! My upcoming months will be a little less and my legs will appreciate that.

Took Summer out yesterday while Evan napped. We were out before lunch and it was only going to get hotter. We spent the afternoon at the library then to stay cool. Couple more medium runs this week and 20 this weekend then a nice taper before the Columbus Marathon!

Weekday runs. Glad this week was a fallback/recovery week.

I got a deep tissue massage on knots in my hip and calf muscles on Monday. Legs were sore for Tuesday run. Did 4 miles with Summer then Evan woke up from his nap so took him for the final 2 miles. Easy pace.

Wednesday I did some intervals in the 5 miles. Decent run.

Today I tried flirting with Zone 5 and tried to stay in Zone 4. Had a medium sized lunch and that plays such a role in heart rate for afternoon runs. Felt great like a relaxed push.

Doing some trails this weekend and looking forward to it.

20 early miles with Columbus Westside Running Club on Saturday. Run went well, but being with a group helps so much. Love those people!

Did 4 miles today with Summer around the neighborhood. Felt pretty good. Rest day tomorrow then a fallback week with weekday runs around 6 miles and 15 miles on Saturday.
