Like every other person, my races were cancelled, my backup races were cancelled/postponed, and my backup to the backup races were also cancelled/postponed. No sob story over here about it – it’s for the best for everyone.
So today I went out for Shamrock Workout, instead of Shamrock Half. I nailed the prescribed paces and I felt great – it’s been a while since I was able to hit my workouts and feel this good about the results. I’m very happy, but also wishing I had that race result too. SOME DAY. And with that, winter half marathon training is in the books.
Now I get to run easy for a while. Until races come back, and then I’m going to grab a 5k and a 10k for now. Aiming to work on shorter, faster for the summer. And hoping that shorter and faster means less sucky long distance miles when it’s deathly hot here.
Oh and I have a wedding to plan, and I want to enjoy the beach this year too. That’s all for today’s life update!
